Arrow Financial is the collection agency that I have dealt with since 01/04 in regards to a loan a co-signed. The original creditors defaulted on the loan and I know that I am liable.
While I do not dispute having cosigned and financial liabilit and have thus been trying to resolve this matter since I was first made aware of the problem. However, Arrow Financial's methods seem to be limited harrassment.
In order to determine how much I owe, have repeatedly requested (also in writing) the account history but this has been fruitless. I refuse to simply pay an unconfirmed amount that Representative Paul Kirby tells me over the phone or (finally) in an unsubstantiated fax.
Finally, I did send in a check for $500.00 assuming that as the the principle of the loan was that much. What I am disputing and getting nowhere with are other fees such as late fees and so on.
In dealing with this company, I have found them to be threatening and abusive as well as unwilling to follow standard and fair collection practices that are backed up by laws.
