I took out an auto loan with Avco Auto Financial in 1997. I declared bankruptcy in April 1998. My bebts were discharged in Aug. 1998. I kept the vehicle and maintained a PERFECT payment record until Nov. 1998, when I surrendered the vehicle.in either 1999 or I learned that Avco sold out to Transouth and that my discharged account was still being listed as delinquent by both Avco and Transouth. I got the credit bureau to drop the Avco listing. I called the manager of the Transouth office and he rudely told me "where to go." He refused to remove the listing. It is my contention that Avco fraudulently sold a loan which a US District Court Bankruptcy Judge in essence said I no longer had to pay and that Transouth stupidly purchased said loan and refused to remove the credit report delinquincy, despite my never having had ANY dealings with them. At the time they purchased my loan from Avco, THERE WAS NO LOAN!
