Stockholm Investments contacted me through CareerBuilder.com where my resume is listed. The message seems legitimate as they send it through CareerBuilder. The person e-mailing me used the alias Gerald Lancaster. He stated he saw my resume and that he's like to recruit me for an assistant area manager position telecommuting from home for $20.00 an hour. They send you applications through email which look like something anyone can type up at home. The job description and duties are never detailed and offer fancy words. I emailed careerbuilder's fraud team a couple of times and their response was:
"Hello, Thank you again for contacting CareerBuilder's Trust and Site Security Team. We appreciate you bringing this information to our attention. Upon review of your report, we have determined that the details provided are associated with a Payment Processing or Re-shipping Scam. The message should be disregarded. Any communication with individuals connected to the original message should cease and future correspondence attempts ignored."
The scammers are pretty thorough. They even offer their own online recruiting environment where they give you your training assignments while you are going through the hiring and training process. They have only information that they see on my resume but I never provided my SSN or bank account #'s. I hope the consecutive for me replying to them are not severe as I only provided public information about myself.
