We were attempting to lower our mortgage payment and received an unsolicited call from Home Guardian Solutions about a loan modification. After we checked them out and found nothing amiss, we went through this process with them and had to provide them personal documentation. The bottom line is that they took our $2,500 and said it would be refunded if we did not qualify. Ten days later their website was down, phone calls did not go through and emails came back undeliverable. We have no way to contact them. Their address is supposed to be 1000 Bristol St. N, Ste. 17-135, Newport Beach, CA 92660, and a toll free number of 800-385-7354, if that is even legitimate. We have filed a police report and a report with our state's Attorney General office, our bank, and have contacted the credit reporting aqencies. We are going to pursue whatever avenues we can against Home Guardian Solutions. I would encourage anyone you know not to go near this scam.
