Back in 2008 we got hit with a tornado, we needed a home replaced, at the time property was in my common law husbands name, they claimed they helped people with not so good credit scores we put up the property for clateral, they then decided his credit score wasnt good enough, his credit score at time was in the mid 600, they found out how much money i made and demanded the sale be put under my name and forcing my husband to quick deed the property in my name.
The only home they would sell us was a repo home in which we were quoted a lower price of the home, by time they were finished we got sucked into paying a new home price, interest was supposed to be 11.25% to find they jumped interest up to 12%. Right at the 1 year mark I received a bill higher, how can they jump my payments up on a fixed home rate, I then called they claimed my homeowners insurance went up, at this time state of Ok just passed a law lowering homeowners insurance, I then asked if I could et my own I was told yes and they would drop my escrow act with them and that would also drop my payments, so I did, abt 2wks later I received a call from Vanderbilt wanting to no where to send my money, I then found out I had overpaid my escrow acct approx 1400.00. I then asked then to just use the money to pay my next 2 yrs homeowners insurance. Hey 2 yrs 1 bill u dont have to worry abt. They then started harrassing me abt 1 month later saying they hadnt got my payments and tring to go after me for the homeowners insurance, approx 5 months of there harrasssing and threating to forclose on me for non payment, went to bank pulled every check they cashed took to an attorney to stop their mess, the attorneys fought them for a year to try and fix this, the 1400.00 never found, found they were putting our payments in another acct., we were told not to make anymore payments until this prob was settled, my husband kept sending payments so they couldnt come back and say u didnt make your payments. During all this and now we still arent receiving a monthly statement from these people. I ran into medical probs asked for them to redo loan because we were down an income, they refused kept being told we were still in the 30% range, whatever that means. The payments we were making to keep us ahead they cant seem to find again, we got into some financial probs and missed 1 month and now being harrassed.
