Deceptive Repayment Practices

I wish I could have seen these reviews sooner or else I would have never gone with iPayment. They were offered as a service attached to my web host. At first I was promised a web based means to process payments via my phone, that never came to me. I went out on a business trip expecting it to arrive by the time that I was back home, that was not the case. So a little over a month later I went to be able to cancel and they gave me the run around. Turns out that they never cancelled my account and with out me even using their services once I am giving the run around as to how to be able to cancel my account. Thinking everything is over with, because I had never received any goods or used their services I think I am free and clear of any fees that they might try to charge me.

So come October, since I had never used their services or received any of the goods I had originally ordered unbeknownst to me they charge me a cancellation fee. No letter from them on why, no phone call, nothing at all. A very sudden 350 dollars taken from my account. I am overdrawn because of this.

So to try to fix this I call them and they admit wrongdoing on their part, thought there is an administrative fee that they have to charge me to send me back my money so the total amount of money that they said that they would be sending back minus the fee is 245.10. They tell me with in 5 to 7 business days that the money will be deposited back into my account via electronic funds. 7 days later no funds. So I call them back and the second person I talked to said that the first woman was basically lying, that she never sent the funds back and that they were going to be sending a check to me via mail in 7 to 10 business days. 10 days later I call up again to see where my check is and this third person said that the check was never sent and that they would be expediting the check to my home in 3 to 5 days. 7 days later still no check, I call yet another time to see the progress of where my check is and this last person - just today - has said that they need to process the funds and they will be sending me my check via the mail in 7 to 10 business days. It has been over a month since I first contacted them about this and there seems to be no resolution in sight.

Overdrawn in a total amount of over 500 dollars because of this I am seeking legal remedies. Avoid iPayment like the plague, they are a scam plane and simple.
