On May 3, i entered into an agreement with NADN to incorporate my trucking business. I received the "official binder" with many "documents" inside. I was instructed on how to fill out all the paper work and send it back to them, so it would be "official". They were quite pushy with some things and not quite concerned about others. They became "nasty" when i refused to open a business account in Nevada with "their" bank.in time I guess they gave up harping on me. All in all it became offical on May 8 we had our Nevada Corporation. Please remember all this cost me $7995.00. This was to include the ELITE corp, RAM services, 4 years of "Personal Tax Prep" and 1 year of Business Tax Prep. We were told to call with ANY questions we may have. That is fine and dandy until you do need them to answer a question from someone here in PA. Taxes were done by them in no problems.
However was not going to be that easy.in July we PREPAID to renew our resident fee, the "required" listing of officers and to have the BUSINESS taxes pre-pared by NADN. Well as i am getting my tax documents together and waiting for an organizer to arrive I opted to call them. I was told I NEVER paid for my taxes to be done by NADN. After many frustrating calls and I produced a "cancelled check" they sang a different tune. I was told they "apparently" made an internal error with what we purchased and would get our organizer to us asap.
A week later and into MARCH out organizer arrived. I filled it out and got it right back to them. They had already told me they were going to file an extension because "there was no way the taxes would be submitted by April 15th". Thru no fault of mine by the way. After a month of hearing nothing and receiving nothing i started calling NADN, but to my amazement no one answered the phone. I began to get really edgy about this. I started thinking how can a HUGE place of business not answer any phone number i was calling.
Well on June 1 my worst thoughts became reality. I called the customer service number and after 10 rings I heard this recording..."As of May 26th and 27th NADN is NO LONGER doing business as we have filed Chapter 7"! I almost had a stroke.
My first thought was "what do you mean you are no longer doing business". My taxes are out there, somewhere, what about my business corporation? After the message I was told I was being transferred, another recording came on and told me to leave my name, client number and what I was calling about. Well I did that, but to this day (6/9/04) no one has called back, as I suspect I will never hear from them again.
Being out-raged, I picked up the phone and called Land Line Magazine, produced thru OOIDA. I figured I would give them a heads up on the deal, as they are for the Trucking Industry. The gentleman in the Compliance Department was extremely pleasant. He listened to me then offered me several numbers in Nevada that would be of assistance to me. I called the Nevada Better Business Bureau, the woman gave me their fax number. She told me to WRITE what my complaint is and how I would like it resolved.
The Attorney General's office told me that is I was seeking ANY re-imbursement I would have to go through the US Bankrupcy Court. They gave me a case reference number to use. My guess is myself and many others will NEVER see any type of refund, but it doesn't hurt to try.
The best one was when I called the Secretary of State's number. I asked if Dean Heller even existed. I was told he does indeed. I am not sure how to take this woman because when I mentioned about this whole NADN Mess... She claimed she new nothing about it??? I then talked to another woman, I asked her if my coprporate file number is legitimate... I was told that the corporation existed on paper... What does that mean? I'll tell you what is means... It is all a SCAM!
I still can't get over the fact that all these people worked together everyday and got paid to scam and cheat people out of ALOT of MONEY. Everyday!
Upon request I will provide names and phone numbers of all the people I ever talked with at NADN. And the numbers of the Bureau's in Nevada that i have filed claims with, including the case reference number in Bankrupcy Court.
