I started the process with Protaxcare in January. I needed to file back returns and was told by the owner, Chris Seminatore, that he would handle my case for $5,500.00, which I paid. Every time I called to check on the progress, I was told I needed to send additional information. I sent some documentation 3 times. I kept copies of every document I sent and scanned over the next 9 months. I finally got some returns prepared by the accounting firm they used at the time. I signed the returns and mailed them to the IRS with the understanding that the accounting firm (who had power-of-attorney) would negotiate a settlement on my behalf. I got an email from the accounting firm saying they had been relieved of their duties. This is my worst nightmare come true. All I wanted to do was clean up the mess I made and it's worse now than it was in January. My understanding is that Profession Tax care has vanished.
