In April of an outstanding debt appeared on my credit report with Experian and TransUnion. This debt was with AFNI, who had purchased a bogus bill from Cingular Wireless. AFNI cannot produce any proof of this debt, because there is no debt. When I cancelled my Cingular Wireless service in the final bill was paid in full.in addition to AFNI, Cingular Wireless can not produce a shred of documentation of where and how this bill came about.
AFNI is trying to collect illegal money for their mistake in purchasing a bogus collection from Cingular Wireless. To date, they continue to say they have an additional 30-45 days to find the documention of the debt, and will not take the collection data off my credit report. This is thievery and fraud.
