I sent these people $75, and within a week they supposedly had contacted all 5000 Life Insurance Companies licensed in the US, and 1 had a record of an inquiry for my mom. I've already talked to 3 other insurance companies that she had ADD with and since her death was natural they are no good, but MIB didn't have a record of those, they had Gerber Life. I didn't expect much out of this but for $75 I thought it might at least turn up the same results I did, or more than just the one. I would suggest you forward the person that has passed away, their mail to your house and run it down that way, this is not worth the stamp I put on the envelope to mail them a check. Also maybe check unclaimed property every few months, and try to get a bank statement for the past year to see if they might have paid a premium to a Life Insurance Company. I didn't want to hear that after my mom passed, but that is the only way. You may think you have tried everything and want to turn to MIB, but look at it this way, they didn't have the ones I knew about, so if my mom's death had been an accident, and stopped with MIB, I would have never known there were a policies.
