Ripoff, overcharging, and not wanting to provide any customer service

I have had a Capitol One card for the past five years, with a $300 limit. I have always paid them as agreed, until about 8 months ago. I was going through a divorce and missed two payments. Ever since then they have been adding on fees and fees and more fees. I have tried to work out payment plans, tried to have them close the account to avoid more fees and they simple refuse. They even refused payment from me.

After months and months of trying to work this out with them, I told them I wouldn't be sending any more payments, so they could turn me over to third party collections asap! At least when it is in third party, they will offer a settlement, or let you pay what you actually owe instead of paying all there crazy fees. They offer no customer service as far as I am concerned, and as soon as this is settled I will never again do business with them, and have offered the same advice to everyone I know.
