Our account went slightly overdrawn. There were 6 debits on the same day. First Niagara sorted the debits into biggest $ amount first, so they could get 6 overdraft fees. They could have sorted smallest first and then we would have had only one overdraft fee. This practice is corrupt and customer hostile. I complained using their online contact system and they told me it wasn't a secure mailbox and they couldn't help me. Well excuse me, it's their mailbox system not mine, they sure have plenty of excuses.
I'm changing my direct deposits to another bank and can't wait to go into the branch and loudly close both checking and savings accounts. I hope they ask me why, they will get an earful.
