While making a payment on my AT&T Universal Card I noticed a discrepancy between the amount on the paper invoice and on the internet invoice in the amount of $14.95
A quick check of who billed the $14.95 (MWI Galleria) led me to usacomplaints.com and there it was in black and white! I have been robbed. Will AT&T stand behind the scam and keep my money... Or will they do the right thing and return it. I have contacted the card company and they are sending me a security fraud packet to fill out. I closed my account and did reopen under another account number. They offered to block from sharing everything from my phone# to the account number itself. I had no Idea they were passing my personal information around as freely as they were.
I am going back to all of my accounts and sending formal "opt out of information sharing" letters and e-mails. Yes it is in the little tiny print on all the contracts. Use it and Opt Out. I will update this report if and when AT&T returns my money. This has been going on since Oct. The Florida Attorney General will be receiving copies of everything I do with AT&T.
