I was on annualcreditreport.com site which is free, but I had already gotten my free report for the year and then it said but for a dollar you can receive your report. I was under the impression that I was still on the annualcreditreport.com site so I paid the dollar, only to find out later when I saw my credit card bill that I was charged a 14.95 monthly fee for freecreditreport.com service. After calling them I was unable to get my money back but was offered a three month service at upon the end of this service it would cancel automatically.
