Our Company was contacted by JMW Collection Agency a few weeks ago. However the individual introduced himself as a lawer that was going to sue is if we didn't settle with his client (an account we were working with to pay). Multiple messages a day of varying levels of hostility were left on the presidents phone. One of our employees at the front desk answered and was told that his company was about to get sued (once again pretended to be a lawyer) and was asked to get our president in touch with him (even though we have accounts payable departments and the president has nothing to do with this).
The very next day the Collection Agency pretending to be a Law Firm started harassing the employee who tried to help pass their message on. They started calling his phone in as high a frequency as the harassing messages to our presidents phone. They even called our employee in the evening when he was at home. We got mad at the harassment of our employees by this group of bullies and told him to ask for their Florida Law Firm I.D. Number. When he did the representative got extremly volitile with him, yelling at him and threatening him. Telling our employee that he was involved in the law suit, and began making personal assaults on him and our company members. Making childish insults and getting so irate he had to be hung up on.
We've personally settled with the company we owed but the harassment continues even after a desist letter. This Collection Agency is nothing more of a glorified group of emotional terrorists who use bullying, threats, and lies to try and scare companies into paying. Not to mention pretending to be a law firm and threatening suit is most definetly illegal. Any company that wishes to maintain a professional and respectfull image should never associate with these overpaid con-men.
