In Feb I bought furniture from Rooms To Go. At the time, they had a "No interest, no payments til Jan" deal going on. I purchased a living room set. I declined the insurance, as I always do, knowing very well that 1) it is a ripoff, and 2) I have home/life insurance, so I'm already covered. Approx Mar-Apr I called Rooms to Go asking why I was getting charged approx $30 for Credits, Fee & Adjustments. I was told that I was on the No Interest, no payment plan, so i assumed that it was probably an accrueing interest that I would have to pay IF I did not fully pay for the furniture on time. I was familiar with this, as Roomstore Furniture did this to show the customer the additional money they would have to pay if they were late. Fast forward to 27 Mar I just realized I've been getting charged 30 dollars for an insurance that I declined to have 13 months prior! I called GEMoney, they referred me to DEbt Security. DebtSecurity claims that since I did not call within 30 days, they will have to get approval to see IF I can get approved to get my refund. Rooms to Go claims they have no part in the matter! I'm to wait at least 5 business days for a call to see if I get my refund or not. So far, I've seen at least one other complaint similiar to mine on this website.
