My father, who is retired and has little income outside of Social Security, called to tell me that he had received a letter saying he had won a huge cash prize: $2 million! He was hopeful - as anyone would be, these days - but skeptical. I thought it sounded too good to be true.
As he read me the details, I looked up the language of the letter on the Web. No doubt, this is a scam. The best report on this scam comes from this video, posted by the Better Business Bureau:

Don't be fooled - if you get this letter, shred it! The people who send these things out by the thousands are counting on the large amount of money that they'll make from those who fall for it and send them $11.89 for "processing", or $14.89 for "rush processing". Anything you send them gets you nothing but access to their ripoff website, woarewards.com - no prize is awarded.
The BBB has rated this company with an F - their lowest rating.
