Scam & Fraudulent activity

American National Recovery Group, George Dodd sending collection letters.
Trying to collect invalid claim and harassing me by mail, that I owe a debt (over $1,000) on a car for unknown occurrence 15 years ago in a town and New England state I have not resided during this year. This is absolutely invalid claim by obviously gathering public information about people and then victimizing the recipient by bombarding with collection
letters.

I have never had any impounding, or infraction, or any city violation with the listed car, and in this particular town. Neither I had ever received any debt notice from the listed city, or notice of lien or judgment regarding this invalid debt (for an unknown reason) in the past 15 years.

They seem like they are using not only outdated information (wrong name spelling) that could even easily be found through public records, frivolously. You also can not reach them, no Website, no other means of contacting them like email, or else.

They obviously count on provoking the collection mail recipient to answer, or provide with more data, so they can go after with even more vengeance. That's why many counselors advise simply to ignore their scamming activity and not provide them with more information, even when it's fully unsubstantiated. Their scam and fraudulent activity on behalf
of Connecticut municipalities is described all over the Internet by victimized public, most recently and in the previous years.

One can't reach them by the phones and addresses they provide periodically change, neither by phone, no email or Web address like legitimate businesses conduct business. This either means they are never open or they are using "throw away" cell phones and those number were disconnected. These are good indications of a scam.

American National Recovery Group and their way of harassing people with unsubstantiated claims should be subject of class-action suit. We should not tolerate such an activities on behalf of municipalities because of the Great Recession and financial troubles everybody is facing in this country.
