Island Federal Credit Union sold my husband and I mortgage insurance with our loan. My husband was the primary on the loan due to his salary. The credit union said he could only be insured from his account. They charged us monthly for seven years.
Then my husband became ill and died within six months. I contacted the credit union, sent the death certificate and then was told my husband was too old when he died. They changed the insured borrower to my name so they wouldn't have to pay the claim. I have a tape recording of the loan officer stating my husband was the insured borrower and they declined payment. I cannot be the only victim of their scam services, so beware IFCU potential victims.
