I was also scammed by BBU Interservices. As in the other cases, they sent a check through my checking account for $29.95 on Friday, February 11th. The name on the check was wrong as was the address.
When I called the number listed on their check, I got a recording asking me to leave my phone number for a return call. I did not leave it.
I read in another post that someone mentioned Comcast. That is one of the accounts I paid with an electronic check. Other posts mentioned a mortgage company by the name of Cenlar? I do not have a mortgage with that company.
I've alerted my bank to this scam and filled out a fraud report. At this point they have not refunded my money but say they will. I also recommended they contact Bank of America. However, I'm not going to leave it up to them I'm going to contact B of A myself and alert them to this fraud.
