Ripoff what the hell is up with this company, avoid at all costs

This company's rep contacted me at work with the promises of bettering my credit. I work at a music store and it's very noisy, but I'm sure I'm not deaf and heard these promises:

1) You are being offered a Mastercard with the low rate of 12.9% with up to a $2000 dollar limit and it will only cost $299 because of your low credit rating.

2) After the $299 is debited from your account you will receive your package with credit cards in 30 days.

My account was debited on 11/29. I figured I could use a low limit credit card which could help my family to gain some credit in which we could purchase a house in the future. I sold my drum set, which I use to make extra income playing with bands, in order to fund this. I figured my family's credit future was more important.

After Christmas, which was funded completely by cash, and I'm talking about a huge family, we had still not received the cards from World Benefits. We had just enough to pay for rent and utilities without putting a penny on credit.

After the first of the year I figured I would try to contact someone from costumer service on the status of my cards, due to the fact that I have a business trip coming up and have to travel 800 miles; I thought it would be nice to rent a car.

On Jan. 2nd, I called customer service at 1pm and was placed on the hold service, by 2:45pm someone finally answered. A rude lady informed me that she couldn't help me in any way shape or form because business hours were 10AM-7PM EST and I wasn't calling during business hours. Now I live in California, but I use to live in Pennsylvania and the time difference is not 3 hours 15 minutes, it's only 3 hours, which would have made it 6:45PM EST which is between 10AM and 7PM EST. This "lady" informed me to call back on Monday during the "business hours."

When Monday rolled around, I woke up bright and early to call customer service. When I placed the call, I got a busy signal. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! A busy signal from a company that has no problem getting a hold of you at work and taking your money, but when you have a question, you're screwed!

I got a busy signal ALL DAY EVERY DAY every time I tried to call that week during business hours. As soon as it was 7PM EST, though, the line rang and I got their message about calling business hours from a machine, with no opportunity to leave a message of my own.

That was Friday, It is now Sunday and I found out about this company from this website. Be sure that I will still try to contact someone from this company and even consider filing suit if I'm not satisfied. The disclaimer the company makes about wanting to fix any problems in customer service is a joke. If this were true then an open line of communication would have been available to the consumers at the companies expense.
