Last year my mom bought into the College Funding Center for my siblings and I after attending a seminar at a local hotel. The College Funding Center promised to review all forms necessary in applying applying for college funding and claimed 100% financing through scholarships, grants, student aid, and lastly loans (which they claimed to get the best rate on).
The Center took my information and began mailing newsletters containing basic information about scholarships NONE of which I qualified for. Last week we received a post card stating that after 19 years the College Funding Center had gone out of business, and there is no way to contact them.
I am obiviously very angry with the company and doubtful of their alleged 19 years in business and flamboyant claims. If anyone knows of any legal action being taken against the College Funding Center, we would certainly appreciate the information.
