A recap: I have been dealing with this nightmare since July now. The account was paid in full at that time. Then the next month I received the old "late fees and finance charges" statement of $98.08. I disputed it at once. Fast forward to today: The account has now been turned over to collection.
Actually, the people working for collection are helpful, considerate and polite! Of course, they can't do anything to help. I submitted a complaint to the Ohio Attorney General Where the actual "company" is) after the Ohio BBB couldn't help - I strongly urge everyone with a problem with GECCC or Care Credit to lodge a similar complaint so some attention can be paid!
