I was contacted a while back by RMS to repay a student bill totalling $1200 with interest totalling to about $2100, so i started paying them back on a weekly basis for about 38 payments which totalled $1900 and i decided to contact them recently contaced them to close the final payments when i was told that they charged me another $1400 in interest. May i mention that halfway through making the payments, i called them to get assurance as to what was left to pay to close the account and they told me an amount that seemed correct and now they are changing their story. This is absolutely ridiculous and how is this practice even legal? I will not send them another dime and they can go to hell for all i care.
