I financed a car through Long Beach and have had nothing but bad experiences with them! It got so bad that I traded in my car just to get out from under them and their terrible customer service, specifying to the dealership that I did not want to be financed through them ever again.
I have received up to 15 calls per day from these people for payments that were one day late. As soon as one call would come in, another would follow. They would leave repeated voice messages in the same day, without allowing me time to respond.
They even called my work and left detailed descriptions about how I needed to call them in order to avoid repossession of my vehicle, which is a violation of the privacy act.
In addition, the car dealership called to get the payoff on the vehicle I financed with LABC and started giving the financial manager personal information about me and bad-mouthed me. I was not even 30 days past due on my account and the financial manager had to tell them that they were in violation of the privacy act.
I have been cursed at, double-slammed with payments, and harrassed beyond belief by this company and I have never in my life had such a terrible experience.
I am considering contacting a lawyer and will not stop until they are held responsible for the emotional anguish they have caused me at my place of work.
