I recently applied for a payday loan and evidently was signed up for some coupon website that accessed my checking account and debited $23.96. This was not authorized by me. Upon calling the telephone # on the materials provided to me by my bank, I spoke with a person that did not speak very good English and was advised that I did authorize this when I visited a paday loan website and that I could cancel it so no furher debits would be taken out of my account but that the money taken out of my account could not be refunded. What a scam!!! I wonder how many other people this has happened to and how do these people get away with this?
