JMW Financial Services
Too suspicious, sounds like they might have ripped off others

Short version: no concrete fraud evidence here, but it sounds REAL fishy and sounds like one other guy did get swindled by them and a collection agency?

Pretty much the same as one of the other reports just a few days previous (titled 'JMW Financal' note the typo, so a search on 'JMW Financial' won't find it, but it's the most descriptive one)

Classified ad in the local paper yesterday (not listed today by the way...) had the same exact text, earn $250-$500 per week, no experience, blah blah. Called them up, they check to see if there are openings in your state, you hold a few seconds, and the very nice lady (Nicole in this case) says there is one opening left. Same exact story as the others so far. They want $98, refundable (100%??) within 90 days trial period. (Funny too cause HUD says the minimum< processing period for a refund request is currently 120 days!) They wanted 'check-by-phone' basically they want your account number. Told her I didn't have it with me, I could get it by the next day. She said she'd put the job 'on hold' for me if I was real serious.

Anyway, a web search turned up this place and some reports about JMW financial. Mesa AZ BBB says that their listing is 'currently being modified', they are at www.arizonabbb.com, you should check them again to see if the listing is there (yet?)

Called HUD fraud line to see if they heard of these folks, they and the 5 agencies they forwarded me to said they wouldn't have a listing of JMW Financial even if they were real.in the end all the gov't agencies said to check with the Mesa BBB. HUD does use the term '3rd party tracers', the HUD phone line 1-800-697-# seemed like a good lead, but, they bounced me to local BBB, said anyone could get a list of people needing refunds if they pay for it, didn't ask how much. Hope someone has better luck? They did say that if anyone wants to file a serious fraud claim to do so at the FTC Consumer Response Center, got forwarded there by the HUD Fraud hotline, 1-800-347-#.

Anyway, Nicole is expecting a call back from me... Sorry Nicole, no luck... Good luck finding a real job...
