I was looking for a mortgage so i went on the computer to find mortgage company for people with bad credit. I filled out application and money tree mortgage called me.
They said i was approved for a mortgage for $170,000. I was excited to hear that because of my credit so i gave them my checking account number so they could take $300 out for application fee. They said to check my email and they would sent me a letter on what to do next, i got the letter my name was spelt wrong and it had my wrong address on it.
I read the letter and it said if you do not send paperwork back in 3 days it would be canceled. I emailed them to tell them about wrong name and address. I decided i didnt want mortgage so i figured after the 3 days of not sending in any paperwork they would cancel it. Because that's what they said they would do in their letter.
Well a month and a half later they took the money out of my account. I called them and argued with them about it telling them that i didn't even send any paperwork in in over a month that i wanted my money back and they said can't give it back we say 3 days but we give people longer. Can only get money back at closing. They didnt say that when they called me. I dont know how they can live with themselves doing this to poor innocent hard working people.
