Like many people's reports I've read on here, Pitman & Grant called me up one day telling me I had been approved for a $5000 loan at 7% interest, but I needed to send $900 for the first 6 payments to show my good faith because of my low credit score, the person who was actually lending me the money was in Russia and he wanted the first 6 payments paid down before he would give me the $5000. Well, I thought it sounded pretty funny, but I needed the money, so I said I would, but only ended up with $600 and so called them back and told them I could only afford $600 and the customer service manager told the man I was doing business with okay. I sent the $600 via Western Union and I was told my money would be in my account the next day. Well, of course, it wasn't and I couldn't call them until Monday and so I waited on pins and needles to talk to them on Monday. He gave me story after story why it wasn't in my account, then said I needed to speak with the customer service manager now because some things had changed on my loan. When I talked to the manager, he said the loaner now wanted another $1200 for a total of $1800 for a year's worth of payments because he didn't like it that I only sent him the $600 when he specifically said $900. I scraped together the $1200 and sent that via Western Union. I called the manager back to tell him it had been sent and he said he knew it because the loaner had already picked it up, but was no longer interested in giving me a loan because of extenuating circumstances. I got really angry then and told them I wanted my money back. Of course, he couldn't return it right then as it was tied up in their accounts and they only refund money on the first of every month and they would refund it May 3rd. Well here it is May 4th, and there's not a drop of the refund returned and after I found it wasn't there in my account, I called them. Lo and behold, their phone number's disconnected. I looked on my loan papers to see if there was another number in which to call them and there isn't. Now I have no way to contact them unless I use their fax number. I'm out $1906, $1800 for Western Union to the loaner and $106 for Western Union fees. I was desperate when they told me I got the loan and I'm even more desperate now that my $1906 hasn't been returned to me.
