(2) Once your Basic Accounting Service is set in cement at the first interview, no changes whatsoever are allowed in your Accounting Service. Tom Stacy will just cookie cutter your stuff year after year and keep popping that fee by 5%. This is called the Magic of Compounding. Any requests for any additional service will be met with that special, glacial Stoicism that hard men like Tom Stacy perfect in the fullness of time.
(3) Since they canned the secretary many years ago, Tom Stacy remains unavailable. He does not return phone calls, answer his email, or respond to speech diected at him in person by a Client. You may have a problem, but Tom Stacy abides. This is also how they run you off after doubling your fees and halving your service, a key Cost Control protocol from the Hawley & Company Playbook.
(4) After you have been run off, the fact thet Hawley & Company has possession of all you Accounting Records is deemed "not material" by Tom Stacy. You may well need to hire a Law Firm or Bounty Hunter or a Repo Man to pry your precious Accounting Records from Hawley & Company.
(5) If the Tax Authorities launch an unexpected investigation into your return files by Tom Stacy of Hawley & Company, Stacy will make a rare exception to his strict unavailability. He will proceed to firmly put the ball in your court and strongly advice you to call the Tax Authorities using the telephone.
(6) Hawley & Company has an internal policy called Total Impersonality. This is hard to explain to sentient beings, but in real life terms it means that even after 20 or 30 years as an intimate client of Tom Stacy, you will not know a single personal detail about this man. He will stoically remain a Blank Slate. And thus doing you a favor when the day comes they suddenly run you off. It's hard to be pissed at shadowy figures you hardly knew.
