Received message on home answering machine "Hey guys, this is Doug Adams, we talked last week and I just wanted to let you know I have a plan worked out for you to reduce your debt and monthly payments. Call and I'll go over it with you." We are a rarity in that we are a zero debt household so I called to get the name of this company. The name is Debt Relief Center. I explained no one had called them, we had no debt, and was told "Doug" was not available, and that someone in my household must have called otherwise "Doug" would not have left such a message. I told them I was reporting their lying tactics and not to call back.
