It started with an online pitch to be sent introductory information on Jason Gilbert's commercial real estate training program. I sent $7.23 to obtain a disk and printed material describing the training program and an invitation to attend a live seminar.
When I received the material, I was astounded to see how unprofessionally it was done, and pretty much decided that if this company was so sloppy in the way their introductory material was compiled, surely, their training would have to leave much to be desired, so I decided to pass on their subsequent offers for a $900.00 seminar.
To my surprise, a few weeks later I discovered that my Visa account had been dinged to the tune of $97.23 by commercial training institute. Thinking this was a mistake, I called to inform the company that I did not authorize the charge, and demanded a credit on my Visa account, after arguing the subject for several minutes with a female in their customer service dept. I made two additional calls to no avail, and in both cases informed the customer service dept. That I would report them to complaint. The reply I received amazed me! The response was "Do what you want, I don't care, you authorized the charges, so you're not getting a credit on your Visa card, and besides, nobody believes the crap on complaint."
