We recieved a call from a loan company "Howard and Clark Financial" from a loan officer named "Noah Fergeson" saying we were qualified for a 5,0000 dollar loan and all we needed to do was send 500 dollars up front for the 1st 5 payments. All we had to do was send our money western union and they would fax our contract explaining our payments and so forth. When i returned home from work that day my wife and I talked about if we should do this or not and 5,0000 dollars really sounded good so we agreed. So we rushed to our neighborhood BI-LO and western unioned our money and faxed over our info and they faxed our contract we signed and sent it back. This was on a Fri. And "Noah" said our money would be in our check acc. Sat. Between 9 and 12. So when sat. Came first thing we did @ 9 was call our bank & there was no money in there so we thought its still early. The whole morning I had a bad feeling that we had been ripped off when i googled the company and nothing pulled up i yellow paged the phone # and nothing. My wife told me she had a bad feeling and that it didnt make since to her why we had to send the money all the way to Canada to an individual when the company was in Conneticut, i told her we would wait til around 11:30 and call west. Union if it wasnt in there and it never was. So i called west. Union and luckily they had not gotten the money yet so i explained to them what was going on and they said it sounded like a scam so they swithched the money back into our name and thank God we got our money back because if we waited any longer it could have been gone. Then monday they called saying they needed more money for insurance purposes and it would be a total of 1300 dollars, they never mentioned that we had got our money back and kept trying to get us to send more. So i tried doing more research and called BBB and they were listed but not under BBB and the company opened in feb. 2010 and they give me a number to a bank that kept info on stuff and they said in the state of Conneticut its illegal to ask for money up front for a loan and said it was a bunch of Canadian scammers so that makes since why we had to send the money to canada. When i called Hoaward and clark and told them what i knew they flew off the handle. Now when u call it says " the Verizon number u r trying to reach is no longer in service." i told "NOAH" that the money i was sending was the money i was using to pay our bills and i had 2 small children to take care of and provide for. These ppl dont care what they have done to ppl. We have to work hard for our money and those ppl try to take what WE HAVE WORKED FOR...
