On July 22, having just moved to Aurora, I opened a checking acct and wrote my first check on the day that my bank said my deposit would clear.
When the check was rejected, I immediately spoke to my bank, who acknowleged their mistake and refunded my NSF fee. I was unable to receive any understanding of the situation from Telecheck. The bank tried to talk to Telecheck in my behalf and was hung-up on by Telecheck.
Telecheck then sent me a bill for the amount due along with a fee. I paid the bill, only to find out that Telecheck resubmitted the original check. When I called and spoke to Telecheck, the assured me that they would refund the difference and that the money would arrive in 12-15 working days.
It is now Sept. 8 and I have not received my refund from them. When I called them today, I waited on the phone for 20 minutes before talking to a representative, who placed me on hold and after 30 minutes, no one answered and I was forced to give up.
