I received and account from FCNB in January of 1997 in August of 1998 I went out on disability. I informed FCNB that I was on disability and from time to time sent them money when I had it so then one day I recieved a letter from Alliance One of and special settlement letter offer.
I call them and settled my account at that time one month later I then recieved a statement from FCNB stating that I owed them lots more money. If they refered my account to Alliance One for a settltment of the amount of money that I owed them then why are they still trying to get all of it instead of some of it.
My account was only $500.00 dollars when I went out and it is now up to $1300.00 dollars with all the late fees and the finance chargers that they have been adding on even though they know that I am on disability.
I am filing my report because I really think that this is fraud and they are trying to get money from me that I did'nt even use. I would'nt mind paying back all this money if I had used it but I did'nt and I dont think that it's fair that I have to pay all of these late charger and finance fees to them.
