MY husband and I received several loans from this company. We always made our payments either early or on time. My husband was involved with an on the job injury that left him totally disabled. I continued to make payments until I had to have surgery and went on disability. Then we became behind with our payments they would not work with us. All the employees from the Hagerstown and Baltimore office were rude and deceitful. They played phone games were never available and finally ended up with an attorney from Baltimore (Michael Fradkin) taking us to court and trying to attach our wages even though we were both on disability payments. This fall we worked out a cash settlement with the jerks in the Baltimore office and took the cash to Hagerstown office to pay it off. They were rude didnt want to give a receipt telling us it wasnt paid off I had to call Baltimore right there to get a receipt saying we had this cash settlement. Now almost 2 months later we never received a paper from the court saying it was paid in full or cleared off our credit I called the court house and the paper work to clear it had never been filed. The attorney said no one from the Mariner Finance office had ever sent any paperwork though saying it was ever paid. When I phoned the Baltimore office I got the phone run around again and everyone was to busy to talk to me etc. MY husband and I had to go to court with our receipt and file our own motion to have this cleared up. This company is a total RIP OFF and we want the whole world to know it They should be investigated by the Better Business Bureau and their rotten employees shouldnt even be able to sleep at night. There has to be laws to protect the consumers from companies like this.
