Last month I went on line and paid my monthly payment (on time and over the minimum due) as always... Only to find this month when I went on line to pay that my card was cancelled. When I called the company, they told me that my credit check with experian showed unfavorable with other debtors. I have been an American Express member since 1995 and have not ever had any issues... And the all of the sudden this month, they cancelled me. How can they penalzie me by using info that pertains to other debtors and not them? And whats even worse is, the info on the report could be incorrect. As it is, it does not show other financial matters like new job, new income, etc... How can a company do that to someone. How will this look on my credit report... We bail out the banks and they put the screws to us... Who is looking out for us??? Seems to me that they are not holding up their end of the agreement, you extend me credit, I pay. Well—what if I dont feel like holding up my end of the agreement... What if I dont pay now that they've broken their contract with me... Opps... Again, it would put the screws to me. We have no recourse. Seems like these big companies can do whatever they like and noone has the ba—s to stand up to them. Im sorry but I am highly upset and... I have every right as do others in my situation
