Do not give these guys down payment!!! I have heard they take your money and run and still foreclose on your home.

They have been trying to modify my loan and threaten foreclosure for over 12 months. I am 250,000$ upside down in my arizona home and they do not want to take this loss. They want me to come up with a down payment when the obabma hamp program says to make 3 trial payments with no money down.
They try everything in thier power to not qualify you for a loan modifcation. They will not put anything in writing. They will not adjust the balance based on the market. They are just flat out crooks. They pretend to be nice at first and make you send in all these documents and then they say see... You have money and you can put a down payment. What they really don't understand is that all of us have responsibilities with other things such as kids etc.
They have young loss mitigation people that have no remorse, have never been a home owner trying to negotiate these loan mods and using bullying tactics to try and squeeze every last drop out people and still foreclosing on peoples homes and they don't care.
Its a joke!!! * don't fax them any documents unless they fax you something in writing that says they are going to do this interest rate at this term etc.
This is how stupid they are. I faxed them a bank statement that shows i have $10,000 in checking. They said oh you can put down $19,000 and we will do a loan mod. What a joke!!! They said we will give you 30 days to come up with 19k. Of course it was a young kid that has never had to fight for anything in his life except probably his college dorm room. These guys are so stupid in the loan mod department though it wouldn't surprise me if they just hire anybody off the street to attempt these loan mods. Their are some reputable ones out there though like who have helped me and others. They were bad at first though as well.
Dont do anything though unless you get some sort of a contract in writing from any of these crooks. Don't send them anything unless you do because they will use any piece of leverage posssible against you.
ASK TO SEE THE ORIGINAL LOAN DOCS TO BECAUSE MOST OF THESE LOANS HAVE FRAUDULENT GOOD FAITH ESTIMATES AND YOU CAN HIRE AN ATTORNEY TO GET THESE LOANS MODIFIED BASED ON FRAUDULENT GOOD FAITH ESTIMATES. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!! This is all out war against these banks!!! Sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
