Homeq acquire my loan from Netbank. No one informed me of this transaction until it was time for my payment. I was informed that they did not have my loan anymore and that I would have to pay Homeq. When I contacted Homeq, I was told that they did not physically have my loan and that I would have to make a payment for 60 days. I used that money to pay some other bills and Wham. I am now two months behind.
If you try to set up an arrangement, they charge you 100 dollars and they don't even know why they are charging it. I am yet to speak with a representative that is either courteous or competent. I did not want to be with Homeq because my parents have them and they suck big time. I just want out and I am planning to get out one way or another. I like my house, but I can do better than this.
I advise anyone to work on as much credit repair as possible. It only takes a 500 and a good job to refinance. HUD will help with this also if you are 4 months behind. It is a lien, but it will beat some of the other options.
Hopefully, Homeq will train their representatives to do a better job that they are doing. If they are going to screw us at least be nice about it.
