I had this company Financial Accountability Associates has called for a month now. They come up as unknown on the caller id and finally today left a message on my answering machine saying This message is intended for (My name) and the reason I received this message is they needed to know my attorney on record to also return their call. And that this was extremely time sensitive. He said his name was Steve Anderson and the hot line to his division was 310-598-1724 and they said if we did not contact them all they could do was wish me "good luck". They also said we owed $745.75 and when we said no they said we needed to pay half of that today to keep it from going to court this week. We tried calling them and they refused to give us any information on who they were collecting for. They said that was not important. They said they would fax my current job to dock my pay and they would not even verify my job name and said they could use the last four of my social security number to get my current job so they could fax them. I was hung up on and told not call back four times. Just to prove my self in court. I am contacting local authorities so any advice on this situation would be greatly appreciated.
