It's hard to admit that I fell for a ponzi scheme that received $80,000 of my money, money generated from home equity loans lent to our business that wrote the check! Looking back there may have been clues before we submitted our money. I should have been smart enough to see it and didn't. The underlying business of cost acceleration is definitely legitimate which is what made the whole idea appealing and could be a service to provide existing as well as new customers.

A. I was presented an income statement that showed $18 million in sales in the past year but I couldn't have a copy to review - mistake 1
b. I hammered home that the reason I was paying an upfront charge for essentially the right to "sell" their system was because I was depending on their roll out marketing, start up expertise and I paid them the premium fee to be sure we had access to the maximum benefit. - mistake 2
c. Training was very weak but inbound caller from Rhode Island during training session sounded like he was able to get his business going - so I thought it mitigated the shortcomings of the trainer. Mistake 3- should have stopped payment on the check right then and there
d. They promised to reimburse $2000 in advertising co-op which I was told in February after several weeks of haggling was being paid that week. They dragged their feet long enough until they closed their doors

The principals in CPC were Bill Stredney and Scott Sandler. Bill stayed in the background, Scott was the point man. He was the one that showed me what must have been a bogus financial piece and he later emerges as the Owner of National Asset Partners. I receive a notice that they are willing to basically have us sell for them with just a slightly better commssion schedule than someone new who paid no upfront fees like CPC.

I'm embarrassed that I was taken in by this and appalled that Scott Sandler may be able to reincarnate himself as a "new" company when he helped perpetrate the initial fraud.

It's too late to warn anyone about getting involved with CPC because they are defunct. I would urge anyone approaching National Asset Partners and Scott Sandler to beware!!!
