Prime One called me on May 26, I spoke with a young lady identifying herself as Kristine 956, and said I could have an unsecured MasterCard with $1000.00 limit and guaranteed that every three to six months my account would be reviewed and I would receive an credit increase, for $187.00.
They got my bank account info and routing number to directly debit my account. They said I would receive my card and package in 20-25 days.
After I did it, I realized that it just didn't sound quite right so the next day I began attempting to contact them at the phone number they gave me 416-542-1611. To no avail I never even got a phone ring, the line has been ringing busy since I started calling two days ago.
I came to the conclusion that this had to be a scam. After attempting to call for two days straight, I began a search on the internet for the company known as Prime One Financial. To my surprise I cam across this site saying that Prime One is in fact a rip off.
I immediantly phoned my bank to stop payment. Fortunately I gave them my savings account info and not my checking and my bank will not honor a request to debit a savings account. Thank God!!! But I bet they will try to do it again later under a different name.
Obviously these people are really getting around with this false advertisement and taking people's money. I live in Hamden, Connecticut and they said they were headquartered in New York. If they do somehow get money out of my account how do I pursue them in retrieving the money back?
I am in the process of speaking with my attorney to see if I can launch a class action suit against Prime One Financial.
