Kredittest. Se Credit Check Scam Narva Mnt 1Tallinn

I received an invoice couple of weeks ago from Justitia Kredittest, a company in Estonia. The detail of goods purchased explains that,

" This faktura is sent to you because you checked your credit score on 02-01 at 07:13: 45. We sent you a security code via sms on your mobile phone. Which you verified on 02-01 at 07:13: 45 and logged in thus accepting the terms of use/agreement (Avtal). If you have any questions call at these numbers. 12000000,1000000,1000000.

Moms ingr."

The way that faktura was sent I first thought it was from "Intrum Justitia" Swedish collection agency (I got upset naturally). But later I realized It was some other company however, I checked my mobile and no sms was found. I went to website namely www.kredittest. Se and found a suspicious looking static page in Swedish with contact in Estonia.

I did not paid the faktura. I was planning to go to police to ask weather it was a real faktura based on mistake or a scam. Due to some reasons, I was unable to go and meanwhile I received an sms with reference to above mentioned faktura saying that if I did not pay the bill in 4 days, they will send me an Inkasso. I ignored that too. Then another sms followed after 4 days saying if I did not pay the bill within three days they will send the bill to Kronofogden.

I am suspicious about the whole affair from the day one.

The company is not Swedish. It has a registration number not recognized in Swedish register of companies but has a domain registered in Sweden in www.iis. Se (. Se domain registration office). The speed with which they threatened to refer the case to Kronofogden was also suspicious. I have experience with paying late bills and they follow a pattern.

As I was reading a post about a Faktura sent to someone on TL forum reminded me to share this with others. The bill sent was 400 SEK which is ridiculous. Why someone would pay 400 SEK to check the information which is available free of cost on many sites such as ratsit. Se and upplysning. Se / which I have been using for a long time.
