I deposited Cash after hour yesterday around 4:00 P.M. And then I paid one of my bill online using credit/debit card around 5:00 same day. My deposit (even though it is cash) and my payment is in processing status still now. But the Wachovia bank charged me a NFS charge for $ 35.00.

I did called the bank this morning, and they said, because I made the deposit after hours, even though it is cash, it was not available right way. I tried to tell them that my payment is still also in processing status. But they keep telling me the same thing over and over.
To my knowlage if you deposit cash it is available to you right way. That means one minute you deposit the cash and very next minute if you go to an ATM you should be able to withdraw the whole amount. I used to work in a bank too and also I deal with other bank too. To the other bank cash means cash. It is available to you right way.

I really do not understand how this bank makes these rules. I am struggling to keep up with my bills and the bank is taking money away from me? Yes, they gave me a refund of 25% or around $9.00, which is not enough. Now I have to find another $ 20.00 for my next payment somehow. Otherwise my bill is not going to get paid and top of that the bank will charge me another $ 35.00 for going negative or not having enough.

Is this a right thing to do with you customer? I have been with this bank for a while. But the funny or sad thing is when you go to open an account they do not tell you all this details. I am not very happy with this situation.
