This company contacted me via my resume on Craigslist. They wanted to wire me funds to by pass EU Value Added Tax. They had an impressive website and even listed several impressive men on their board of directors. They also claimed to have merged with a legit investment firm in Greece.
I called their numbers listed on the website in Greece. The numbers do not exist. I mapped their address in Athens, it does not exist. I googled the names of their board of directors and found Petros Souretis, he was managing another company in Greece. He had no idea of who RBS or US Wire was. His secretary looked at the website and said they must have lifted his picture and bio off of their site.
I looked up who registered rbs-partners.com domain and got a name and phone number in Yonkers, New York. I called that number and it reached a woman who was not at the right address and had no idea who the name was who registered the site using her phone number.
I can only imagine what harm would come to you if your gave them your bank account information as they request. Run from this one!
