Settlement request

I get a notice from the variety company that I owe Providian National lender $2222.11. I donot even know who Providian National Bank is. The delivered to tackle I've not existed for more than 12 years. I'm not likely to deliver mone to somebody I don't actually understand. How do I discover who Providian National Bank is.
