Bad service permanently customers

I've had my sears mastercard for 20 years and have never been late and also have never missed a cost. Our interest went from 14%to 24% simply because sears / citibank chose to raise all the rates effective march 1. Never received any correspondence about that and can't encourage them to reevaluate my account. I had been told that because i'm a great customer with outstanding credit rating, i can't be considered for any rate decline. The only path i will get a diminished rate of interest, is always to default on my payments and get into selections. Is that this ridiculous or what? They need your money and do not care where or how they have it. Watch out for what they might attempt to pull in the months ahead before new legislation adopts impact.
