PayPal has a software glitch that lets scammers complete transactions without your verification. Three times, when paying with PayPal, the first screen came up with the transaction source vendor and instructions to hit "continue" to verify the charge. When I hit "continue," the transaction immediately completed without my verification or authorization. Consumers should be very careful about using PayPal until they get their software fixed. I have used PayPal many times in the past without this problem.
This problem also happened on Driver Detective, where the initial charge was $29 on the first page, but the second page never came up to show that the real charge was $38.
PayPal has always been a reliable method of payment, but maybe not any more.
