Yes folks, you're being ripped off by CAMCO. Don't you get it?
The company buys these old debts for pennies on the dollar and then goes after them and makes you believe that you still owe on them.
I have read all the complaints that are written here and I really do agree with you. When I was hired by CAMCO (Capital Aquic. Management Company) here in Rockford Illinois, I was told all the "inside information".
Don't you think Camco knows all the laws across this country??? They "skip trace" you down with some of the most up to date computer tech., and then tell you no matter how old the debt is, that THEY can collect on it and you MUST pay, or "work-out" some deal.
Trust me, they know what they are doing!!! I know, I do it myself. When it comes to the FDCPA, most of the collectors do follow the rules. But some don't.
Believe me, CAMCO pays us (the collector) BIG bucks to do this. We must collect $6000 per month in debts, plus they pay us around $2000 per month salary, plus commission on what we collect.
YES, it is a rip off on your account... But stick together and take them to court to put them out-of-business!!!
