Sent me a fake check and also said i won 100,000 if cash check them the money i would get my winnings in 24 hours

I was sent a letter and a check saying i won 100,000 dollars the check was for 3,085 dollars i was suppose to cash it send him the money to get my 100,000 dollars. My bank put a hold on the check it was a fictious alterd basically a fake check. I am just glad i didn, t cash it. I am on ssi disabillity. Thank you for listening.
